Bed and Breakfast Rooms Hemyock Devon — Ploversfield offers three individually named double rooms, each with one king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom, in our family home at the heart of the Blackdown Hills.
A relaxed country stay with continental breakfast included, secure gated parking and, during the warmer months, use of our seasonally heated indoor swimming pool and sauna.
Our Rooms
Ploversfield has just three individually named guest rooms. Each has a king-size bed, private en-suite bathroom and accommodation for a maximum of two adults.
Sir Michael Stear Room
A comfortable double room with a king-size bed and private en-suite, overlooking Ploversfield’s garden and lawn, including our magnificent old oak tree.
Hank Marvin Room
A double room with a king-size bed and private en-suite, overlooking the adjoining countryside, where sheep and cattle are frequently seen and deer occasionally visit.
Olivia Newton-John Room
A double room with a king-size bed and private en-suite, enjoying both garden and countryside views.
More Than Just a Room
A stay at Ploversfield includes more than comfortable en-suite accommodation. Guests have space to relax both inside and outside our family home.
Indoor Swimming Pool & Sauna
During the warmer months, resident guests may enjoy Ploversfield’s indoor swimming pool and sauna, shared with the owners. The pool is heated seasonally and availability varies according to the time of year.
With only three guest rooms, it offers a relaxed and personal alternative to a busy hotel leisure facility.
Secure Gated Parking
Guests have secure gated on-site parking within the grounds of Ploversfield.
Private Guest Lounge
Guests have their own comfortable lounge, separate from the owners’ private living areas.
Guest Courtyard
A private courtyard with table and chairs provides additional space to sit and relax.

Our rates vary through the year, reflecting the season and the facilities available during your stay. All rates are per room, per night, for up to two adults.

Traditional English Breakfast — £10 per person
A generous continental buffet breakfast is included in your room rate.
Guests may also order a freshly cooked traditional English breakfast for £10 per person. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and toast are also available as an alternative.
Cooked breakfast selections are made the evening before so that breakfast can be freshly prepared and ready at your chosen breakfast time.
Seasonally heated indoor swimming pool and sauna are available during the warmer months. Pool heating and availability vary according to the time of year.
Use of the swimming pool is subject to our pool safety conditions.
We normally prefer a minimum stay of two nights. One-night stays may be available by arrangement, particularly for local weddings and family visits.
